JAZZ 825

Jazz 825 is the collective name of two Jazz Clubs in Southend organised by jazz drummer and percussionist Trevor Taylor. He brings together a brilliant selection of modern, bebop, fusion, avant-garde and improvisational music for both The Railway and our Centre in Essex.

The events at The Jazz Centre UK are held the first Saturday of every month from 2 PM - 4 PM. Check our events page to find out who is performing this month.

Modern, Bebop, Fusion, Avant-Garde and more...

Jazz 825 brings a strong variety of jazz musicians to The Jazz Centre UK performance space. See the gallery below to get a taste of what to expect.

Trevor Taylor is a jazz and avant-garde drummer who has been involved in contemporary and improvised music for over 50 years. He has been a promoter in Essex since the 1970s organising gigs for venues such as The Cliffs Pavilion, Hadleigh Old Fire Station (Fire Music) and of course, Jazz 825 at The Railway and our Centre.

In the 1980s Trevor established his brand 'Future Music' and grew a series of high-end music retail stores based in key locations across the UK. In 1987 he started FMR Records which continues to publish jazz, free improvisation and avant-garde music.
