About the Event
On Wednesday 10th December The Jazz Centre UK welcomes back Adam Ramet. Following his performance in September of some early jazz classics, we have another chance to hear him on his original 1910 pianola, concentrating this time on piano rolls from the Roaring 20’s.
Today, the Roaring 20’s is most familiar as the dawn of the Jazz Age, a period of massive growth and innovation in music, witnessing the first electrical recordings, the explosion of jazz music, the proliferation of gramophone players, the beginnings of music radio, and even the advent of the BBC. Adam’s recital will capture the spirit of that age.
Admission is free, and the performance is approximately one hour in length, starting at 1pm.
