 HELP US

WE NEED YOUR HELP

The Jazz Centre UK is a registered charity (No: 1167421) and our aim is to promote, preserve and celebrate the culture of jazz in all its forms. We rely on the strong support of the public and our volunteers to fulfil this aim for the past, present and future of jazz music.

There are countless ways you can help us or get involved in our activities. If you have any ideas or suggestions that are not on the below listing, we would love to hear from you. Please contact us and let us know your idea on how you would like to get involved!

HELP US FUNDRAISE

The simplest way to help us raise funds is by leaving a donation online. Your donation will help us fund live music, free admission workshops for beginner musicians, masterclasses, heritage restoration projects, art exhibitions and much more!

The best way to learn how your donation has helped The Jazz Centre UK is to sign up to our Quarterly Newsletter. Follow the below buttons to learn more:

VOLUNTEER

Do you live in South Essex and have a passion for jazz music? We are always looking for new volunteers to help us with our events and the day-to-day running of our centre.

Get involved in exciting activities including weekly live music events, archiving, the running of clubs, art exhibitions and representation at music festivals. Click the button below to find out more about what is involved and how to sign up.

DONATE VINYL AND CD

We are one of the only jazz music dedicated record shops in Essex. By donating your old vinyl to our shop within the centre you will help us raise funds for our ongoing activities and help our visitors discover more jazz music. We only accept jazz vinyl records for our record store.

If you have non-jazz vinyl you wish to donate; 'Rabbit Records' can facilitate. A proportion of the proceeds are passed on to The Jazz Centre UK. Find out more about Rabbit Records and record collections below.

SEND US YOUR PHOTOS

Have you visited The Jazz Centre UK recently? Send us photos of your experience! Your photos of our events can help with our publicity and online efforts! Click 'Find out more' below to use our simple upload form.

Please make yourself aware of our privacy policy found in the footer of our website. It contains terms and conditions of sending us your photographs and how your pictures will be used by us.

HERITAGE & MEMORABILIA COLLECTIONS

The Jazz Centre UK is the home for UK jazz memorabilia and heritage. If you have an item or collection that you feel we would be interested in do not hesitate to get in touch.

Jazz heritage and cultural preservation are central to our work. We look after collections including the National Humphrey Lyttelton collection, items from Louis Armstrong, Jimmy Skidmore, Sir John Dankworth, 100 Club and more. Explore our Heritage Centre page to find out more.
