Good News - Gospel Music - “Ain’t it the Truth”
A Presentation by Dave and Diana Causton
Come along to The Jazz Centre UK for a musical adventure on the ‘Gospel train’. Through CDs, DVDs, records and discussion. We’ll take a trip from the turn of the century to explore Black Gospel Music we will conjure up the spirit by visiting early choirs, wild church services, famous solo artists who became pop stars, duets, quartets and singing preachers etc. On the way we will stop off at the stations and learn the connections to country and city blues, spirituals and jubilee singers, soul, rhythm and blues, rock ‘n’ roll, doo wop, acapella harmony, jazz and even side tracks like reggae and hip hop.
Get your ticket and come along for the ride. If you are a music fan, don’t miss the train.
