About the Event
Derek Nash has been a member of Jools Holland’s R&B Orchestra since 2004, been in the Ronnie Scott’s Blues Explosion for over 15 years. He’s the long-established band leader of Sax Appeal (over 40 years) and his Acoustic Quartet both of which are British Jazz Award-winning, plus also co-leads The Wonder of Stevie with vocalist, Noel McCalla and the PICANTE Latin Band with guitarist Dominic Ashworth. He ran a recording studio for over 25 years and was awarded a Gold Disc for his recording/co-producing of Jamie Cullum’s Pointless Nostalgic. He’s toured with Rock legend Jack Bruce, USA smooth jazz-star, Brian Culbertson and been on stage /TV with countless names including Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Rod Stewart, Sir Tom Jones, Amy Winehouse, David Sanborn, Dave Grusin and many more.
