About the Event

Jazz UK - The Rough Guide

All true jazz fans know about the history of Jazz UK. It involves words like “trad” and “Dad” and old men with funny names such as “Acker” and “Humph”. The real cognoscenti add “Spike” and “Tubby”, though there might be some misunderstanding about “Spike who?” - specially around the Southend area. Attendees should leave the second session with a starter kit of events, stories, labels and names of the key elements of what Strictly would call The Jazz UK Journey. It might even start nearer to The Beginning.
