About the Event
When we found out that Duncan Shoosmith's painting of the legendary Dame Cleo Laine won Sky TV's 'Portrait Artist of the Year' and was to hang within The Jazz Centre UK art gallery, we instantly knew we had to put something special together to celebrate. We are delighted to announce that Jacqui Dankworth and Charlie Wood will perform and unveil the painting on Saturday 22nd June - which we are naming 'Dankworth Dynasty Day'. We also have on display Sir John Dankworth's first piano and memorabilia from both jazz icons within our Heritage Centre.

The concert will run from 2pm - 4pm and conclude with the unveiling of the portrait.
Tickets to the concert are £15. We do not have an online ticketing system in place at the moment. Please email us at enquiries@thejazzcentreuk.co.uk to purchase a ticket and one of our volunteers will get back to you shortly.
