Jazz 825: Rewire ft.Martin Hathaway

Rewire is a project formed last year to explore material using a saxophone/guitar front line. Since then, they have been slowly building a very eclectic repertoire featuring music as diverse as Dave Brubeck, Joe Lovano, John Scofield, and many others.

Martin Hathaway is well known in the area as an altoist of extremely fine calibre -and today on baritone sax- to say nothing of his excellent and masterful playing of the flute, an instrument becoming far too rare in jazz. Dave Whiting is a London guitarist of rare sensibility, whilst the rhythm section is in the capable hands of Alex Keen on bass), Trevor Taylor on drums, and the wonderfully creative Tony Gooderham on piano.
