Jazz 825: Rewire play the music of Dave Brubeck.

Rewire are Martin Hathaway (sax), Tony Gooderham (piano), Dave Whiting (guitar), San Hollis (bass) and Trevor Taylor (drums). Their repertoire today will be drawn from the work of the great American pianist Dave Brubeck, the composer and bandleader whose life in jazz spanned some 60 years from the early 50's till his death in 2012. Brubeck was a pioneer in many ways; his best loved tunes such as Take Five, Blue Rondo a la Turk, and Unsquare Dance featured unusual time signatures and other rhythmic and formal innovation. They also brought him great popularity and worldwide fame.
