About the Event

The origins of jazz are obscure and controversial. Donations of personal archives to American universities are bringing forward additional facts & versions of development which change previously accepted "history". This event will use The Jazz Centre's physical exhibits as a base for exploring the personalities, Hits and Myths that created the music that was (eventually) called "Jazz"
