About the Event

By 2010 university Jazz faculties were competing for students.  Internationally successful jazz musicians had been invited initially to run Summer Schools, which had proved popular.  When the same stars gifted their personal archives the academic bodies realised that they were receiving important sociological history, as well as irreplaceable artisitic experience and skill. This was true academic acceptance of America's Music.
