JCUK presents Jack Banjo's Snackwall

In the early days of live music at the JCUK, a thrilling young band called Elephant Talk performed here twice to great acclaim; graduation from the Guildhall School sadly dispersed its members far and wide, but here's a chance to hear the fiery and charismatic trumpeter out of that group, Jack Banjo Courtney, with his intriguingly-named new outfit, Snackwall...

Jack, who has played with Cassie Kinoshi’s Seed Ensemble, Opus Kink, and Olivia Dean amongst others, describes Snackwall’s sound as ‘a unique brand of avant rock-jazz, echoing jazz rock, Scandi jazz, traditional music and art rock, with reference to the powerful energies and grooves that have driven the UK jazz scene in recent years.’ Expect diverse vibes, from fierce blowing to big grooves to ethereal soundscapes.
