JCUK presents the Pete Rudeforth Jazz Band

A London-based jazz band formed from the very finest New Orleans, Dixieland and Swing musicians on the scene today. For concert performance, jazz festivals and jazz clubs, in addition to playing the well-known and popular New Orleans, Dixieland and Swing repertoire, Peter Rudeforth has used his inside knowledge to unearth and transcribe over a hundred great arrangements by bands such as Chris Barber, Kenny Ball, Acker Bilk, John Kirby, Harry Gold, Chick Webb, Henry 'Red' Allen, Bob Wallis, Duke Ellington, Bix Beiderbecke and Louis Armstrong. A member since 2008 he has played over a thousand concerts with the Chris Barber band, before forming his own Pete's Goodtime Jazzband. Pete and his band bring us a welcome dose of rousing traditional jazz this afternoon.
