Live Music: Jazz825 presents: Supertrios

The trio has been busy lately with gigs and new recordings including a new Luminos CD, (Luminos 2), with the amazing Josh Ison on saxophone and a new trio recording entitled ‘Guernica’ both on the FMR label. Dan (a regular at the Jazz Centre) is also just finishing his Masters degree based on the music of the great pianist Chick Correa who died recently. Much of the music will feature Dan’s compositions from earlier groups and from a forthcoming release called ‘Upside Downside’.

Nomad were formed just over two years ago. Originally mainly a jazz/funk fusion band, the group now performs all original material, encompassing jazz and fusion, often with elements of world music, all of which can be heard on their recent album “Turning Point”. The line-up consists of Dave Lee on keyboards, Steve Duke on bass and Rick Wills on drums.
