No Good Woman and The Kingsnakes are a blues band like no other… sassy, soulful, hot and heavenly. Evoking the sounds from the Delta to Chicago, they've a style all of their own that lures you into the barrel house, locks the door & then lights a fire!

Dawnette Fessey has been singing ever since she can remember and was the lead singer for The Honky Tinkers (also known asThe HTs). She has sung jazz, soul, funk and blues with a number of groups and musicians over the years, including a few times with local legend Digby Fairweather. This No Good Woman knows what she’s about - sassy, strong, sexy, spicy and sweet, without apology.  So, when you come to hear her sing, you better be ready!

Key founding member of long-established Southend Beat Group The Phrogs, Pat McNamara has played bass with a number of bands including Dooyah! with Gary Thompson and Dave Dulake. Pat plays with a stripped back and minimal approach that is sympathetic with the style and allows room for the Kingsnakes to manoeuvre.

Gary Thompson, having spent many years in the music business, appearing on Top of the Pops when he was the drummer with the band Tonight, not only plays drums but is also an accomplished guitarist and songwriter.

Mark Brown has played as a session guitarist for Pauline Taylor and Emiliana Torrini, touring throughout Europe. He has one foot in classical guitar with the other firmly in the blues and yes, the film Crossroads is in his top Five!

Wailin’ Wayne has played with a number of local bands, becoming hooked on the blues since hearing the first album by Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac. He is also known for organising the Rochford Summer Solstice Real Ale and Music festivals.
