About the Event

When Dave Jago formed a new quartet for his performance here at the JCUK last year, he called up an old London bandmate, Adrian Northover, whose fluent alto playing subsequently impressed everyone. So we've asked Adrian back with the band that he has been recording with for some years, Notes from Underground. This quartet is led by pianist Vladimir Miller, who brings Russian and classical influences into elegant and expressive jazz compositions. The group aims to engage and excite audiences, with strong melodies and direct, accessible playing.

Vladimir Miller (piano) and Adrian Northover (saxes) are joined by Les Booth (six-string electric bass) and Dave Rohoman (drums). (Ian Dury fans from way back will remember Dave as the drummer in Kilburn and the High Roads...)
