About the Event
Phil Robson is a UK born guitarist who was a popular presence on the jazz scene nationally in the 90s and early 2000s. Graduating from the Guildhall School in 1989, he toured widely, and appeared a number of times at the old Blue Note and Jazz Bar evenings at the Cliffs Pavilion. He co-led the long running Partisans quartet with tenorist Julian Siegel, and also appeared with his partner, Irish singer Christine Tobin, amongst many other projects. In 2015, he moved to New York for five years, getting involved with some high-profile US artists. He now resides in the Republic of Ireland.
Ross Stanley is perhaps Britain’s finest contemporary jazz organist, and possesses a proper Hammond B3 with Leslie cabinet, which appears at some gigs with him… fingers crossed for today! Gene Calderazzo is the powerful, inventive drummer last heard here with Zoe Rahman.
