About the Event
Sarah Moule with the Simon Wallace Trio
Singer Sarah Moule, making her debut at the Jazz Centre, has established a solid reputation on the London jazz scene, singing regularly at all the top venues in the capital; the 606 Club, The Vortex, Pizza Express and Ronnie Scott’s. A turning point in her career came in the early 1990s when she was introduced to composer Simon Wallace: “As soon as Simon played the songs he’d been writing, with lyricist Fran Landesman, I knew I wanted to sing them. They really touched me, musically and lyrically, as they seemed to be about how we live today and the emotional conflicts we all have to deal with. I immediately started singing them on the gigs I was doing in Soho and haven't stopped since." Sarah has also toured sellout shows around the UK featuring the music of Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald and Duke Ellington.
“Sarah Moule has a voice that inspires and comforts at the same time. The quality of her vocals makes you realize all is well in the jazz world.” Sammy Stein, somethingelse.com
