About the Event

Adam Glasser was born in Britain and is resident here now, but he grew up in South Africa where he became immersed in the distinctive and beautiful Cape jazz style. Playing both piano and chromatic harmonica, Adam creates a memorable blend of his South African roots and his own wide experience in music, which includes a 16 year stint as musical director to the SA vocal group the Manhattan Brothers.

Adam performed here in duet format with the brilliant young British guitarist Ant Law two years ago, and it was a very memorable afternoon; he was due to return last year but had to cancel due to a last minute invitation to perform at a major jazz festival in Africa. This is a genuinely long-awaited gig, therefore!

Adam is playing in trio format this time, accompanied by Andy Hamill on bass and Pat Levett on drums.
